It's been while since we have been posting here. But after short meet with Boris last friday we came up with a few ideas. So now it's time for a brand new and fresh start.

I will do the kick off with an all Dutch winter dress up.  Combining my taste with the best brand from Amsterdam, Eindhoven and Rotterdam.

Let's begin with the headwear.

Ontour expedition beanie
Already 5 years on the market and every season it's coming stronger. This season it's all about the mountains and rocks. And whats better for your head with that icy weather than a thick beanie with some nice colors and pattern.

The jacket of my choice will be one of the Amsterdam brand Scotch&Soda

Scotch&Soda diamond quilted shirt jacket
Not everything of Scotch&Soda is good or my taste of fashion.
But this jacket is a beauty.  Looking familiar to other brands but having a touch off there own. Like the 2 holes with both chest pockets

For the cold winterdays you really need a cardigan. And ontour has a killer one

Ontour expedition cardigan
The same colour as the beanie. Good for the combination. The cardigan has a standard model combined with a nice collar, simple pockets and good, big buttons

Up for the shirt then.

Good People akkiri
With every season good people  is becoming better. With this shirt as the top of class for this season. Made from japanese fabrics with an all-over print. The best details of the shirt are the wooden buttons, a simple chest pocket and extra buttons on your sleeve. So you call roll up your sleeves better without that the chance of ruining your shirt.

What should you be without a great pair of jeans. So let's go for this one

Kings Of Indigo Clovis organic dark worn

Already mentioned in our last posted.  Simple, cool, nice details, great wash and good fit. What else do you want to know.

And at last the shoes

Amsterdam Shoe Company Lace up

Just a simple model. But in my opinion good looking. Nice suede upper, cool brick red rubber sole and white waxed laces.

This in total is my dress up. Hope you enjoyed it and you will get some inspiration off it

Cheers Glenn

Kings Of Indigo K.O.I.
”Every Garment Made With A Conscience.”

A new denim from Amsterdam. Vintage American jeans, made in Tunisia and Italy. But with the Japanese eye for detail. They call they’re designs “modern authentics. Classic fit with modern vision

Launched a year ago at Bread & Butter fair by its founder Tony Tonnaer. Kings Of Indigo is like me the new kid on the block. But it’s already teaching all the oldtimers a thing or two about preserving the environment. Very importanted are the 3 R’s, recycle, re-use, repair.
The concept of K.O.I. is visualised in the logo by mixing American heritage (the cowboy) with the Japanese eye for detail (the koi) and caring for nature (the wave).

The collection mainly consist of the simple 5-pockets and basic fits. Like straight, tapered and slim.

Next to jeans, the plan for spring 2013 is to launch tops. They’ve done some research and developments, but the results are not yet ready to hit the market. However, leather accessories and repair kits are already available

This will certainly be a jeans I will be buying.

Check out they’re site, tumblr and facebook.

Cheers.

While new kid on the block Glenn and our good old Boris are keeping you updated on the clothing front, I will try to keep the music alive in this blog of ours. As you may have noticed in earlier posts i'm a true techno-head but growing up in a household were music was always a big thing i've learnt to enjoy quite a variety of genres.

What better thing could I wish for when two of these music-styles collide into one massive song.
Pleinvrees essential Oliver Schories has made a true art of mixing fairly popular pop-songs with an electronic edge. Hist last project was Coldplay's-Paradise. This is the song I want to share with you this evening.Press play and be amazed..

Untill next time,
Kenney

Casbia Shoes

 By Glenn Fennema

Modern, stylish guys pay attention to fashion.
But they are not driven by it.
They also like tradition.
But they are not stuck on it.
They live, work and dress somewhere in the middle. With a few options on the shelves for guys who want qualities from both, the struggle to find essentials that are forward-thinking and flexible in the way fashion offers and are timeless and grounded in tradition.
Enter Casbia

This is the opening of Casbia.
Maybe it isn’t one of the newest brands. But it’s definitely a new brand for me.
In 2010 former “Sergio Rossi” designer Edmundo Castillo and ex Hugo Boss head of design Manuele Bianci started Casbia. Both are big sneakers buffs. Who couldn’t find the proper  sneaker based on they’re style and age. The collections are aiming to cover every man’s needs. New materials, fresh looks, good quality and for me one of the most important things, a certain type of exclusivity.

Casbia released they’re first collections on March 2010. Based on two things.
The first was : “The Ten Shoes Every Guy Needs In His Closet”.
The second was: “The Four Essential Bags”.
Ten shoes, ten different type of shoes. Dress shoes as comfortable as sneakers. Traditional shoes in moder ways.
Four bags with a sharper look, but also with he functionality for the modern guy.

As said on Oi Polloi:
Taking their name from a type of moth, Casbia make proper high quality shoes for when you want something a bit smarter, but don’t want to look like you’re on the way to a wedding.

Casbia use classic designs, but aren’t afraid to shake things up a bit. Take their moccasins for example — made in Italy using super luxury butter-soft leather with a razor-cut sole, they’re more at home on the yacht than the canoe, in fact these are just the sort of thing we’d wear when driving to the Monaco marina in our Ferrari 308s.

After seeing the spring/summer season, I’m having a few favorites all ready.
First off  is the Andy. A chukka moccasins. Entirely hand sewn, a elk skin leather or  calf suede upper and a 4mm leather sole. Leather which is extremely flexible and normally  is used for children shoes. With the extra padding and a comfort foot bed you get a shoe made for walking without feeling those awful street stones.

The second model is Sean.
The sneaker/shoe blend. The classic silhouette combined with a thick rubber sole. So you get the best of both worlds

Last but not least is Bruce.
A low moccasin. Based on the chuckka brother Andy. It’s  like a native Indian world melted together with the preppy yachting class.

Two Fun facts about Casbia, is that all off they’re shoe models are based on men names. And with every pair of shoes you get a shoebag.
