Sounds from the Past

As we're back on the radar again, after a period we didn't had the time, we're back to the usual. Therefor I was browsing some music the other day. In my house we have dozens of vinyl records just laying around, waiting to be touched. So why not touch it? Looking for some unique sounds I came by 2 records which I enjoyed really much and I came by a couple with great artwork. Very much my thing, as I just started with a design study. Anyway, Here you go some of the sounds and artwork.

And ofcourse the sounds from these albums. "Heartattack and vine" from Tom Waits. Artwork doesn't stand out as much as the others did for me. However the title song definetly does.

On the other hand we've got the talented sounds of mister David Bryne and his pals, The Talking Heads.
Prescription to this song is supposed to be drugs and alcohol, but I won't encourage any use of that. So for your sober minds:

So that's my post for the day. Hope to see you next time,

Boris

The 60s

Been a long time since this young un' has made an appearance on this blog, but hope to be back for good now. Been looking at a lot of different things the last couple of weeks, but I never lost my interest for the 60's era. With a Grandad( with might I say an impeccable style) from that era who has told me a lot of stories, it isn't hard to guess where my love for it comes from.

I used to rely on Ben Sherman whenever it came to mod-influenced clothing, but I was a bit disappointed with their last couple of seasons. It all seemed a bit dull and too simple. Good to see that they're setting the bar a bit higher with the new plectrum line. Still always on the look-out for something new though.

Not strange that I was pleasantly surprised when this brand came passing by. Mikkel Rude is one of those brands that isn't in the spotlights and that doesn't do them any harm. They keep on doing what they do best, produce clean and simple clothing based on the 60's. Especially their shirts are a real treat.

Untill next time,

Kenney

Some "new" Sounds

Fair enough, these guys aren't very new. Still I'll consider them as a talent, just because they are not big yet.
As Dutch as possible, which makes it more interesting for us. They featured on Sziget, which means something in my world. Enjoy the sounds of Baskerville.
