Trouble in the headwear department

Since our little country has been blessed with abnormal amounts of sunshine, I really need a cap to keep that sunlight out of my eyes. I used to be into my caps quite a while ago, I always thought I looked the bollocks whenever I wore my Hackett or RL cap on top of a Lacoste polo. I kept on thinking that untill I saw every man and his dog sporting one of them and looking like an absolute twat.

Thinks have all changed now, others things have taken my interest now. One of them being 5-panel caps, an ssential bit of streetwear in my opinion. With a little help from an expert from the UK i've come across some very interesting ones, that will definitely end up in my shoppingbag whenever funds let me.

First up is a lovely chambray HUF cap. My favourite at the moment as it can be mixed up with most of my clothing. Wasn't really into HUF before, their shirts and tees never really grabbed me but this is a winner.

Next one is a lovely striped Norse projects cap. Norse projects is one of those brands that doesn't seem to do a lot of things wrong and this is a perfect example for that. Very tempted..
Lastly is this superb Supreme cap. Our expert described it as the Nigel Cabourn under the caps. Very exclusive, and very popular. Haven't seen one around in Holland so far, one of the main reasons I'm very very interested with this blue cap.

Now all we have to do is hope the weather stays the same eh?

Untill next time, Kenney

authentic film

You might have heard that we're really into our films. And I mean really. I like the old, classic ones as much as the modern classics. Let it be, that my grandfather and father used to have loads of posters around. Some of classics, some are from b-films. However the design and methods used for making these are a lot more authentic than today's ones. Which is eye candy, I am sure. Take a look what Boris got to offer;

Dutch class

After a long and boring day at the work, I decided it was time to have a long gander on the net to search for some nice pieces of clothing I could spend my well deserved wages on. The first half hour came with a lot of sighs and rolling eyes, but then something interesting showed up on my screen..

It all started with a little description on a Dutch fashion blog. Ontour, a brand started by two former students from the Design academy Eindhoven, is a brand with a passion for graphic and product design. They describe theirself as a contemporary label driven by creativity. Ontour products reflect a sophisticated style with a recognizable twist. Something that fits right into my street I remember thinking.

Every collection is based upon a journey, inspired by daily life. Combine that with their love for Subtle detailing, materials and use of colour and you’ve got a nice and quirky brand that is also reasonably priced.

I decided to take the plunge and ordered a winter jacket off them. It doesn’t get much better for me clothingwise then when you find something new, you order it and you love it from the minute it falls on your doorstep. The jacket was everything they said it was, and it’s got a lot of wear recently. The price-quality ratio is superb, so a definite recommendation from this side.

Enjoy your day,

Kenney

the kick-off.

Well i guess it's time for the kick-off then. Welcome to our brand-new blog designed by my partner in crime, with just a little help from myself. We thought it would be a good idea to start things off nice and smooth with a bit of music straight out of our own little country. Starting  as a one-man project, this band has now become one of Hollands biggest promises playing on big festivals like Pinkpop,Sziget and even Glastonbury. Their own unique way of making music and mixing various styles makes this band stand out from the masses. That´s just the way we like it..

Till next time. Kenney
